It sounds like you're trying to upgrade to windows 10 from the windows 10 upgrade app? That app is what scans the hardware to determine compatibility. It puts a halt to the process because nVidia have not released a driver specifically for windows 10 for that card. Once Windows 10 is installed, then insert driver. The way windows activation works with 10, I'm pretty sure you will need a new product key if you do a clean install without having previously performed an upgrade.
Hello NanoBear. I researched about the error code and I found the advice to uninstall any antivirus program and update all the drivers in the laptop. I didn't have any antivirus installed in my system other than Windows Defender, but I had a couple of "optimizers", so I uninstalled them, then I ran again the installation DVD I burned a DVD with the ISO file and when I got the message "Do you want to download the updates from Microsoft" I unchecked the option and let the process run Thank you so much for taking the time to help us NanoBear!!!!
