Essentials Only Full Version. I have this new computer with windows 8. I plugged in my Yamaha ypg Keyboard today for the first time to find out that it was not recognized. It worked fine on my old windows 7 machine. No Device is connected. But, the keyboard is connected. I tried disconnecting it, and then reconnecting it, but the computer does not recognize it.
Maybe the wrong driver or I am not doing it the correct way. Can anyone please instruct me on how to get it to work on windows 8. Try this: Power off the keyboard. Uninstall the driver. I love my YPG but the other day I noticed an entire row of pixels have gone out on my display. Is this common? Can I fix it? If not what's the best way to trade it in? It looks rather small on-line. I am an accomplished pianist but an average user digitally , teach vocal music in a local El. This piano will be for my own personal and professional use. I am confused as to which piano would better meet my needs.
I know no one can answer that question but myself. But what I need to know in both general and specific terms, "What are the differences and similarities of these two instruments? The price is not a factor because they both are very close in price. If anyone out there has either of these two inst. Thanks ahead of time to anyone who wants to take the time to answer.

What do I do? Then I removed the USB, loaded the files. Then I inserted the USB back into the keyboard. The USB Icon lights up on the display. I'm gonna buy a new digital piano and come up with these 2. I own a Yamaha YPG and would like to either split the output speakers or have the internal speakers work when you are hooked up to a sound system.
Is there a way to have the speakers on the piano work when you are hooked up to a speaker system? Is there a setting internally that can do this function? I'm certain that this question has come up quite a bit, but I am still currently running in garage band. I certainly didn't think that this would be my problem when I bought this keyboard.
My specifications were: 88 keys, grand sensitivity, and general MIDI input to use it as a controller. It worked fine, but for fast piano runs, the sensitivity is a joke. I really needed the grand weighting.
Anyone interested in the YPG - for this should definitely consider. Great weight, and overall well put together. I just never figured my issue would fall under OS problems. This keyboard is only being acknowledged under my windows partition of my mac.
I can't say that I'm to happy, and it would be really greatly appreciated if someone could direct me to an under the table download to make this keyboard work as a MIDI controller through mac, and logic and garage band. Thanks :D.
Just got the keyboard-haven't played the tutorial yet. Is there a transpose feature? I am considering the but don't want to be disappointed with the quality of the keyboard and real piano feel. As I mentioned in another related comment, I have my cable running into an R digital multi-track recorder. For the low cost of the cable, saved me a lot of headaches and works great. Remember, the less amount of adapters and connections in a cable, the less resistance and usually the better the sound quality.
Run a normal instrument cable between each of the adapter jacks and two different amplifiers or into the two channels of a stereo keyboard amplifier or even into a multi-channel PA system.
This should work marvelously. First off, what audio equipment does your band use. I'm assuming you don't have an external keyboard amp?

But, it won't allow access to Garageband or anything else on the Mac. You are right about the size you have seen on line.
It is no bigger than the "standard" small displays found in most units. IF however you will be purchasing on line, make sure you ask the Seller exactly what size the Display is. Good luck.
