It's like I never did anything. Deleted podcasts are back, iTunes is downloading all of those same episodes again, settings have reverted, new podcasts are gone, etc.

In fact, when I access my library on my external hd, the file date is stuck on I feel like Bill Murray in "Groundhog Day" My music seems fine although I haven't added anything in a long time.

Just this absurdity with podcasts. I've tried deleting everything in my iTunes downloads folder, tried nearly every configuration with the settings for each podcast and in preferences, but Same thing. I have always been able to use this method for permanently removing episodes from My Episodes although they are still shown with a 'download cloud' in Feed.
