October First take your code to the Sims website and register as a user then register the game code. Then go to origin. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. I don't believe it is possible to convert a disc to digital.

Every time you want to play the game after installing to your console. You will need to put the physical disc into the console. The console will then check the validity of the disc before launching the game. Otherwise especially on xbox one it will tell you that you need to either log into the profile that you purchased the game with, or it will give you the option to launch the store and purchase the digital version before playing.

Was this reply helpful? I don't mind repurchasing the game again, my only concern is that would I have to download the whole game again from scratch.

My internet at home is so slow, it can take up to 4 weeks to download a game of 20GB. Highly likely you will have to redownload the whole thing, but what you could do is try moving the game to external storage, disconnect the storage, start the download, stop the download, delete the game files from your install point, reattach your external storage and move the entire game files back to where you were downloading them to.

If that makes any sense - can't guarantee it'll work, and it may force a recheck of the files, but it's a shot They tried digital conversion. It ended badly with k xbox fans publicly protesting against always on drm that would allow it otherwise you would have theft.

I can't say you can 'convert' it But, you will not need to download the game if it is already on your HDD from a disc Is it possible? User Info: Jenesty. I'm pretty sure the save data works with a game regardless of if it's physical or digital, You felt your sins weighing on your neck. User Info: haloeighteen. I'm not entirely sure, but the save data should be fine because that doesn't go to the cart.

I don't know if re-buying the game digitally would wipe out the save data on the system memory, though. I can't see why it would. User Info: ZX81Steve. Jenesty posted So far I have 3 physical game cartridges for the Switch and I kinda regret not buying them digital.

Is it possible to transfer the save data? I know the 3DS had a tranfser tool but I have no idea how this works on the Switch. My physical saved games loaded perfectly into my new digital games. User Info: QueenTakhisis. I have DQBuilders both physically and digitally, and I want to say you can go from one to the other without problem.

My only issue is I had the digital version first, so dunno if the Switch still uses that one when I insert the cartridge.

It does show that the cartridge is inserted, but if it actually runs that version, I have no idea. Nobody Doom Patrol. User Info: Mabus All save files are on the system memory.
